BADI in SAP ABAP Step by Step

BAdI Acronym of Business Add Ins As a customer outsider, it helps BAdI to improve SAP functionality.
Why is BADI?
Unlike previous improvement methods, BADI continues the approach aimed at re-use objectives. BADI can be used in a number of times that these standard evaluation techniques can only be used once.
For example, if you are upgrading a custom project, you can not map the extension on other custom projects. In order to overcome this disadvantage, SAP provided a new evaluation technique called BADI.
Code of transaction for BADI definition:
SE18
When you create a BAdI definition, you create a class interface automatically and you can define the methods in the interface. The application of the methods can be made in SE19 transactions.
When created BAD, they are generated automatically:
An interface with 'IF_EX_' is inserted between the first and second characters of the BAdi name
Class classified as 'CL_EX_' inserted between the first and second characters of the name BAdi.
Code of transaction to implement BADI:
SE19
BADI types
When you create BADI with a T-SE18 code, the pop-up screen is displayed to select the BADI type as shown below.
There are two BADI types.
Multi-Purpose BADI
With this option, active activation can be assigned to the same BADI definition. This option was selected by default.
If we wish BADI is the most used
If you have some BADI definitions, the sequence should not have any role.
BADI is a disadvantage than you do not know what BADI is active, especially in the country specific.
BADI Filter for employees
With this option, we can define the BADIs by filter values to control the functioning of the additives on specific criteria.
Example: country-specific value.
BAdI is object oriented
There can be several times
No need to register changes to SAP software
No effect on improving release in function of BAdI.
